Almost a bit too big to be a clutch, but too small to be a hobo.  This Sondra Roberts ‘SR Squared’ clutch is a perfect clutch when you want a little more room to store your things but want more formality than can be gained with a satchel or hobo style bag. A steal at $40, the SR Squared has a great snakeskin pattern that compliments the gathering at the body of the clutch.  I also really like the cut-out handle.  I can just imagine it being folded and snugly tucked in your arm or super cute and held low with both hands holding the cut-out handle.  Sandra Roberts has designed the SR Squared clutch given us classic colors so that it will match with just about everything.

I was recently at this cute little market at the bottom of a department store in the city center of Munich, the Marienplatz buying some snacks (rather..I was buying beer to bring back home ;o) )  Anyway,  an interesting thing that I noted was that there were not plastic bags offered when I needed to have my groceries bagged.  Thankfully I had brought my resuseable tote bag that folds up into a tiny square that I could pull out to use.  Therefore when you are traveling or whenever you go…make sure to bring one of bags with you. I love this Nordstrom Reuseable Tote because it’s durable, zips up cleanly, is a cool silver and represents my hometown wonderfully.

Here’s a fun bag for you that I stumbled upon.  The Marc by Marc Jacobs ‘Jelly Jacquard Groovee’ satchel.  The stencil type of lettering of Marc Jacobs is a fun detail on the bag that is accented by the dark purple straps.  I just love this bag, it’s young and hip and not to flashy and definitely not gaudy.  So you can be very chic about wearing March Jacobs with this Jelly Jacquard Groovee bag without making it look like you’re a poser.  (if you know what I mean).  Plus the turnlock that Marc Jacobs has been doing lately definitely fits into the hardware trend and works perfectly with the laminated look of the bag.  A perfect find for wet weather to come and on through the season.

I missed wallet Wednesday, so I thought I’d make it up but doubling up and having a wallet for Saturday Sale! day.  Right now on sale is the Kate Spade Mirabili Exotic Peggy clutch.  Yes, it’s quite a mouthful for a name, but it is quite a nice wallet.  Kate Spade, in all her understated classiness has created this uniquely staple of a wallet (yes, those two words can go together).  The Mirabili has a clean structured look that Kate Spade is famous for.  At the same time the Mirabili is anything from boring with the slightly raised threaded dots, the golden hued kiss lock, and the metal snap closure with the signature Kate Spade emblem. Not only that..ladies, there’s a very handy removable mirror in the interior of the wallet.  I can’t tell you how many times I wished I had a pocket mirror handy whenever I had a stray hair or something stuck in my teeth.

At any rate, you will be a hit with this wallet.  The great thing is that it also goes perfectly with the darker colors, golden hues, and hardware that so very fashionable now.

Yay! for the strengthening dollar!! As I browsed around Heathrow today on my way to Munich, I was much more willing to shop since the now it’s $1.53 to 1 GBP. Much better than that ghastly $2 to 1 GBP like it was in May when I was here.  With that, I couldn’t resist myself and bought another Longchamp Le Pliage tote.  This time the larger shopper. =) And guess, what it was cheaper at the airport in British Pounds than it is in the US!!

So, here you go the lovely Longchamp Le Pliage large tote.  Perfect for travel and work and school and everyday, just like the smaller tote (that I promptly folded up and stored in my new bag, along with the long looked for Chole perfume I bought duty free and my Harrods peekabo teddy bear =).  The great thing is that this larger tote also folds up to a perfect storage size in your bag.

Ok, so it’s day 4 in London and I’ve been noticing that for handbags..hardware is in and looking very nice.  So don’t be surprised if the next few posts I put up will be laden with hardware.  Not too much..but just enough. To start things off is the lovely Tory Burch ‘Robinson’ shoulder bag. I’m loving the contrasting materials and crinkled leather.  The white, brown, and black all fit seemlessly together and look great for this season if you’re a bit tired of the warm autumn colors.  Plus, everything is wonderfully offset with the gold detailing and the perfectly sized Tory Burch emblem on the front flat.  This is not only great for everyday, but perfect for the office as well.  Sophisticated, mature, but not matronly.

Leather as soft as a well-worn (but still fabulous) bomber jacket that your trendy mom has thankfully kept in mint condition for you to inherit - that’s how Gustto bags feel.  I fell in love with Gustto well over a year ago when I first started noticing them at stores and this Gustto Apula tote immediately caught my eye.  I love the slanted and seammed overlapping cushioned leather accented by the silver push lock buckle. Of course as usual with just about all bags I post with the exception  of a few, the Gustto Apula also has interior pockets.  there are also side exterior pockets in case you are in a hurry and don’t want to mess with the zipper closure.  As an added bonus you can carry the Apula on across your body with the longer strap or in your hands/on one shoulder with the shorter rounded handles.  However you decide, this is a great bag and a wonderful first “hello” to Gustto if you are yet to add one to your handbag collection.

A lovely mid-sized bag with a little of the bowling bag shape that definitely is much more than a bowling bag. The kiss lock is great and almost give the bag a giant coin purse type a look. It’s such a cute bag with great folds and shape to it, how could anyone resist the Hobo Bonnie II?  It’ll most likely look different than any bag you have and will be a great addition whether you get it in this rose color or anything other color.

Let’s first go traditional with Orla Kiely with this fool-proof signature Multi-Stem Should Bag.  The matt laminated outside and stem pattern on the inside are ridiculously cute and cohesive.  You can spill all you want on the outside, this it one bag you don’t have to worry about staining - like just about all of Orla Kiely’s handbags (for the most part..see the warning below) .  Plus there are inner pockets and a key chain to help you keep things where they belong.
One small warning, be careful with dark clothing rubbing against this bag. Just like jeans rubbing against white shoes, denim type materials could potentially rub off on your fabulous bag.  Nonetheless, plastic never looked this good and nor as highly recommended.
